Abstract: | Debris samples are easy to get and inexpensive in petroleum exploration drilling.But in addition to gas and fluorescent determinations,few of them have been used for stratigraphic and sedimentary cycle studies.On the other hand,the sedimentologic studies of oil basins are mainly based on the indirect geologic information-loggings.The authors of this paper try to use the chemical compositions of debris/core samples to basin analysis,stratigraphic classification and correlation,as well as sedimentary rhythm and cycle studies. |
